About
Karen Sribney
I am a mother of two beautiful adult girls and have been happily married for 20+ years, living in Calgary, Alberta.
For 20+ years I have worked as a psychologist practicing mainly with counselling children and adolescents (through activity-based and play-based models) in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, social skills, and learning and attention challenges. Helping caregivers navigate the world of learning, attention issues, and behavioural challenges with their children is also an important part of my practice, as is psychoeducational assessments with all age groups.
In 2012/13, I went back to school and studied the application of nutrition to our brain/mental/physical health. This has changed how I approach the support of families experiencing mental health challenges.
